Hello, and welcome to our brand new website and blog. We’re Bethany and Seb, the two wide-eyed, bushy-tailed greenhorn farmers behind Zócalo Farm, an organic farm specializing in produce.

With the help of many friends and family, we bought our farm in June 2014 from the previous organic farmer, John Sutherland

In addition to selling through a CSA (Community Shared Agriculture Program) we have succeeded John in growing specialty salad blends for 11 restaurants and retail stores in downtown Guelph and surrounding areas (The Woolwich Arms, With the Grain, The OX, Valeriote’s Market, and more!). John has been helping to mentor us in our first year on the farm and for that we are incredibly grateful!

We’re calling this blog “Our Journey Home” for reasons we’ll explain in our next post. We’ll post regularly to keep you informed about life at Zócalo. We may even post the odd poem or song, photos, and artwork from friends and farmhands.

Stay tuned if you’d like to keep track of our farming adventure, or if it’s easier for you, subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of this page and you’ll receive updates directly in your in box.
